Beeliar Local

Place Fabric is engaged by Windsor Knight to deliver the architectural design for Beeliar Local, a new neighbourhood centre in Jandakot that will provide essential retail and lifestyle amenities to one of Perth’s rapidly growing southern communities.

The design draws inspiration from the nearby Yangebup wetlands and surrounding bushland, expressed through a richly textured façade of layered earth and olive toned cladding that reflects the colours and character of the local landscape. This contemporary material palette is complemented by generous landscaping, shaded pedestrian spaces, and warm natural finishes, creating a strong sense of place and a welcoming environment that is intrinsically connected to its surroundings.

Anchored by a full line supermarket and complemented by food and beverage and specialty retail, the centre is organised around an activated pedestrian spine and landscaped public realm. Together, these spaces establish Beeliar Local as both a convenient daily destination and a vibrant community hub, creating a distinctive identity that reflects its natural setting while supporting the continued growth of Jandakot and the surrounding suburbs.
