Alkimos Local

Place Fabric is engaged by Centuria to deliver the architectural design and ground plane strategy for Alkimos Local. A $33 million neighbourhood centre within the Alkimos Central masterplan. Located just 100 metres from the future Alkimos Station, the precinct will provide essential retail, health, and lifestyle amenities to one of Perth’s fastest-growing coastal communities.

Our design takes cues from Alkimos’ coastal setting, with a material palette inspired by sand, limestone and timber tones, paired with soft landscaping and shaded outdoor areas that reference the dunes and native vegetation of the northern beaches. These elements create a relaxed and welcoming character that feels distinctly local.

Anchored by a full-line supermarket and complemented by childcare, allied health, food and beverage, and specialty retail, the centre is shaped around a landscaped pedestrian laneway and activated “main street” frontage. Together, these spaces establish Alkimos Local as both a daily convenience hub and a vibrant social heart for the community.
